history

On the occasion of the court day in Aibling, Willing (Willingun) was first mentioned in a document on January 13, 804 together with the neighboring towns of Aibling , Berbling , Mietraching and Ellmosen , when the ownership rights of the Willingen church were being negotiated. In the Middle Ages, Willing was a rest stop on the Camino de Santiago .

The place became an independent political municipality through the administrative area reforms in Bavaria in 1818 .

From 1897 to 1973 Willing had its own train station on the Bad Aibling – Feilnbach local line .

As part of the municipal reform , Willing came to the city of Bad Aibling on May 1, 1978 .
