The Williwaw Rocks (from English williwaw 'whirlwind' ) are two cliffs in the Joinville Islands group off the northern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula . They are 3 km southeast of Moody Point , the eastern branch of Joinville Island .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out surveys in 1953. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1958 after the katabatic whirlwinds that frequently occur here .
