The Moody Point is a headland , the eastern end of the West Antarctic Joinville Island in front of the northeastern end of the Antarctic Peninsula forms. Upstream from it are the Williwaw Rocks 3 km southeast .
The British polar explorer James Clark Ross discovered them in 1842 during his Antarctic expedition (1839–1843). Ross named her after Richard Clement Moody (1813-1887) first governor of the Falkland Islands from 1843 to 1848.
