Willow Creek AVA is a recognized wine-growing region in the US state of California since August 18, 1983 .

location

The vineyards are spread over the administrative districts of Humboldt County and Trinity County in northern California, near the city of Willow Creek . Within the Klamath Mountains area is the small vineyards part of the National Forest of the US Forest Service , the Six Rivers National Forest . Nowadays there are 4 hectares of vineyards and only two self- marketing winemakers who use this designation of origin . This was not always the case, as a few years ago five winegrowers shared around 12 hectares of vineyards.
