Willy Arni

Willy Arni ( June 25, 1899 in Mühledorf (SO) - November 21, 1977 there ) was a Swiss politician.

Life

Arni, son of Fritz, farmer and field commissioner, attended the Hessigkofen district school, the Neuchâtel business school and the Wallierhof agricultural school in Riedholz and then worked as a farmer. In Mühledorf he was the community treasurer from 1920 to 1941 and from 1941 to 1973 the mayor. From 1941 to 1961 he was a member of the Solothurn Cantonal Council and was Vice President of the cantonal FDP . From 1947 to 1967 he was a member of the National Council . In addition, he was the leader of the Solothurn farmers, member of the board of the Swiss Farmers' Association and board member of a regional bank.

Arni was married to Hedwig Pauli from Boll.
