Willy Gervin

Willy Viggo Gervin (born November 28, 1903 in Copenhagen , † July 8, 1951 in Roskilde ) was a Danish track cyclist .

At the UCI track world championships in Zurich in 1929 , Willy Gervin took third place in the amateur sprint . In the same year he became Danish master in this discipline. In 1930 he was first in the 1000 meter time trial at the Scandinavian Championships.

In 1931 Gervin became vice world champion of amateur sprinters at the track world championships in Copenhagen . At the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles , he and Harald Christensen won the bronze medal in the tandem race . In the sprint he was eliminated in the quarterfinals.
