Willy Möbius

Alfred Willy Möbius and Wilfried Möbius (born February 16, 1879 in Leipzig ; † April 17, 1964 there ) was a German physicist .

During his studies Möbius became a member of the SBV Nordalbingia Leipzig in 1898 , and later he was chairman of the old rulers . Möbius received his doctorate in Leipzig in 1907, completed his habilitation in 1919 and was then a private lecturer and from 1925 to 1945 associate professor of physics at the University of Leipzig . He wrote the article Optics of the Atmosphere in the Encyclopedia of Mathematical Sciences and dealt theoretically and experimentally with the rainbow .
