Willy flatbed
Willy Pritsche (born August 30, 1911 in Dresden , † March 28, 1997 in Graupa ) was a German photographer . A frequent topic of his work was his hometown Dresden. The illustrated book Sächsische Schweiz (1963) was a highlight of Pritsche's photographic work.
After training as a photographer from 1926 to 1930 at the Stengel & Co art institute in Dresden, he began to wander through Central Europe. After first attempts at documentary and artistic photography with a Contax 35mm camera , the business license and inclusion in exhibitions were granted in 1935. Pritsche was called up as a soldier and photographer in a railway pioneer unit in 1939 and was taken prisoner in 1945. After returning home, he resumed his photography activities in Dresden and in 1952 became a member of the Association of Visual Artists in the GDR.
