Willy Schweighöfer

Willy Schweighöfer (* 1906 ; † 1980 ) was a German cultural worker.

biography

Schweighöfer was director of the district theater in Borna immediately after the Second World War . In 1952 he was a guest with the Borna District Theater in the Great Lindensaal in Markkleeberg with his staging of the comedy Love in the Snow .

After working in Borna, he worked as a director at the city theater in Rudolstadt. In 1957 he made guest appearances. B. with the theater and its production of The Diary of Anne Frank in Jena .

From 1963 to 1980 he worked successfully at the Landestheater Altenburg as a director and actor. In 1979 he was made an honorary member of the theater.

His younger son Götz Schweighöfer (* 1960) worked as an actor at theaters in Eisenach, Schwerin, Karlsruhe, Altenburg and most recently at the German-Sorbian People's Theater in Bautzen. He is currently freelance.

Other sons are the actors Joachim Schweighöfer (* 1936) and Michael Schweighöfer (* 1952).

Willy Schweighöfer is buried in Altenburg cemetery. The Landestheater Altenburg was his last place of work.
