Willy Werner

Willibald Werner (born September 7, 1868 in Berlin ; † April 8, 1931 there ) was a German portrait and genre painter .

Live and act

First he studied at the royal art school in Berlin (1884–1886), then with August Kaselowski . He then worked as a freelance portrait and genre painter, draftsman and illustrator in French-Buchholz , and from 1908 in Berlin-Grunewald . He was represented several times at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition (catalogs from 1904, 1905 and 1908). He was named professor.

He died in Berlin in 1931 and was buried in the south-west cemetery in Stahnsdorf .
