Wiltrud Wessel

Wiltrud Wessel (born April 1, 1934 in Munich ) is the founder of the private initiative Help for Poland, which is now called Bridge Bavaria-Poland.

Life

In 1973, Wessel and her husband founded the local FDP branch in Krailling . In 1981 she traveled to Poland and then supported clinics, orphanages and other social institutions in Poland. Over 200 aid transports took place to Poland. Between 1990 and 1996 she was a member of Krailling's council. In 1994 she founded an au pair agency. In 1995 she was made an honorary citizen of Krasnystaw . Krailling awarded her the citizen medal.
