Willem Tap or Wim Tap (born October 3, 1903 in The Hague ; † September 24, 1979 ) was a Dutch football player.

Club career

Wim Tap played for ADO Den Haag from 1920 to 1936 . In 1926 he managed to move up with his club through two elimination games in the first division , but had to come to terms with places in the lower half of the table.

National team career

Wim Tap was a center forward from 1924 to 1931 in the Dutch national soccer team . He scored 17 goals in 33 international matches. He played his last international match on April 26, 1931 against Germany . He scored the only goal for his team in the 1-1 final. Tap ended his playing career at the age of 31 and became a coach.

Coaching career

After his playing career, Wim Tap became a coach . He won the Dutch championship with ADO Den Haag in 1942 and 1943 .
