history
With a deed of donation on the occasion of the inauguration of the monastery church of the monastery of the Cistercians in Lichtental on November 3, 1248 , Winden was first mentioned in a document. In it, the founder, Margravine Irmengard von Baden , bequeathed her widow estates, including the villages of Winden and Beuern , to the monastery. Winden is the oldest part of the municipality of Sinzheim and is also the second largest branch municipality.
In addition to the men's choir "Friendship-Jagdhaus Winden eV", which was founded in 1900, and the music association, which was founded in 1928, there is the local group of the Sinzheim volunteer fire brigade and the church choir that shape village and club life.
