The Rivière-du-Moulin wind farm is located in the Canadian province of Québec in the area of the regional counties of Charlevoix and Le Fjord-du-Saguenay . The operator is EDF Renewable Services , the North American subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles , which in turn belongs to Électricité de France .
The first construction phase with 75 wind turbines and an output of 150 MW went into operation in December 2014. The second construction phase with a further 100 plants or 200 MW was put into operation at the end of 2015. The wind farm has a total output of 350 MW. Systems from the manufacturer Senvion with an output of 2 MW each were installed, including 152 systems of the MM92 type and 23 systems of the MM82 type.
The electricity from the wind farm is sold to Hydro-Québec under a 20-year contract . The wind farm is connected to the power grid via a 26 km single-circuit 345 kilovolt extra- high voltage line.
