The Windy Gap ( English for Windy Breach ) is a 975 m high mountain pass on the Trinity Peninsula in the north of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It lies at the northeastern end of the Louis Philippe Plateau and is the junction of three valleys. The Broad Valley leads east to Duse Bay , another valley north to Lafond Bay and the third south to the Prince Gustav Canal .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey discovered the pass in April 1946 and named it after the weather conditions encountered there.
