Winfried Berger

Winfried Berger (born April 21, 1954 in Coburg ; † November 25, 2010 in Münster ) was a German church musician .

Life

Berger began his church music career as a choir singer with the Windsbach Boys Choir . He studied church music in Cologne and Münster . In 1992 he became cantor at the Erlöserkirche in Münster. The focus of his work was historical performance practice and Olivier Messiaen's organ works . For his achievements he was awarded the title of church music director .
