Winfried Eichler (born October 15, 1939 in Rodewisch ; † 2004 ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Eichler received his doctorate in 1975 at the Berlin School of Economics in Berlin-Karlshorst on the subject of possibilities, steps and benefits of the economic organizational restructuring of the production of ready-made products in the Karl-Marx-Stadt district : illustrated using the example of the product group workwear .

From May 31, 1990 to January 26, 1995 Eichler was district administrator for the district of Auerbach . Since 1991 he has been a member of the Presidium of the German District Association and from October 24, 1991 to January 26, 1995 he was part of the Saxon District Association. V. as president. He resigned from his posts over allegations of collaboration with the Ministry of State Security ; Franz Hornung took over the office of the incumbent district administrator. The background to this was that Eichler, as deputy head of a state plan project, had delivered reports to the MfS from 1985 to 1989, but had denied cooperation in official surveys in the post-reunification period in both 1991 and 1994. A lawsuit initiated by the Zwickau public prosecutor's office for employment fraud ended in 1997 with Eichler's acquittal at the Auerbach district court , as it only saw the facts of deception fulfilled.

He lived in Falkenstein / Vogtl.
