The Wingecarribee Reservoir is a reservoir southwest of Wollongong in the southeast of the Australian state of New South Wales in the coastal mountains. The lake is fed by the Wingecarribee Swamp and through a system of canals and tunnels from the Fitzroy Falls Reservoir and is used to generate energy for the greater Wollongong area. The Wingecarribee River drains off at its northwestern end .

The water from the Wingecarribee Reservoir is normally fed via the Wingecarribee River to the Wollondilly River and Lake Burragorang , where it is used for Sydney's water supply . But there is also the possibility of draining water from the reservoir through a system of rock cuts and tunnels - called the Glenquarry Cut - to Lake Nepean .

The settlement of Burrawang is located approx. 1.5 km from the south-western tip of the lake.

The Illawarra Highway passes south of the reservoir.
