The Wollondilly River is a river in the Australian state of New South Wales .

It was originally a tributary of the Coxs River , where it becomes the Warragamba River . Today it ends in Lake Burragorang , which was created in 1960 when the Warragamba River was dammed and, as the largest reservoir in the Sydney area, ensures the city's water supply.

From there the river flows north through Barralier , where it makes a loop to the west, into the Blue Mountains National Park . Shortly before its confluence with Lake Burragorang, the Jooriland River joins . Its total length is 269 kilometers.
