The Tarlo River is a river in the east of the Australian state of New South Wales .
It rises at Middle Arm northwest of Goulburn and flows southeast through the small town of Tarlo to Norrong . There it turns its course east to Tarlo Gap , where it turns sharply north to the Tarlo River National Park .
