Winja's Fear and Winja's Force are two roller coasters manufactured by Maurer in Phantasialand ( Brühl ). They are double spinning coaster , which means that their carriages rotate on their own vertical axis. In addition, the whole trip takes place in a hall - Wuze Town - which makes the attraction independent of the weather. About half of the journey can be observed from the hall, the other half of the journey takes place in the dark.
Trains
The two railways have a total of 16 cars with space for four people each (two rows of two people), of which only twelve run at the same time (max. 6 cars per system). Two people start forwards, two backwards, at a certain point on the route the carriages start rotating . The passengers must be 6 years old and at least 1.20 m to a maximum of 2.00 m tall to be able to ride.
Journey sequence
The carriages are not fired horizontally or with a classical lifthill pulled up, but reacted with a vertical lift to about 17 m in height. The wagons are tilted forwards so that the lift rail is in contact with the main line and so the wagons can enter the first drop directly from the lift , on which the entire vehicle is photographed by two different cameras at the front and rear. Both routes continue with a few mouse curves . A series of helices and camelbacks follow .
Both tracks have block brakes which, following a complete stop, tilt the rail with the carriage on it in one direction. “Fear” tilts forward, “Force” tilts forward and right at an angle. The journey then continues in the direction of the tilt by releasing the brakes. As a special feature, the “Fear” route performs an Immelmann turn .
Shortly before the station, as a special effect, the rails are briefly lowered a little on both lanes and then straighten up again. These effects should occur unexpectedly for the first-time rider and thus offer a special experience, to this day they are unique in a roller coaster.
