Winni Wittkopp , actually Winfried Wittkopp (born October 15, 1951 in Erlangen ), is a German actor , director, musician and visual artist from Erlangen.

Career as an actor

Wittkopp completed training as a machinist and photographer before going on stage. In 1978 he founded the Franconian music-cabaret duo "Hobelspäne" with Klaus Karl-Kraus . The duo released two records and in 1982 received the City of Erlangen's Culture Prize.

From 1977 to 2014 Wittkopp was a member of the Theater Erlangen ensemble . In addition, he worked as a freelance actor and director on other Franconian theaters, e.g. B. in the State Theater Nuremberg , in the Dehnberger Hof Theater and in the Theater Kuckucksheim . Among other things, he was involved in children's and youth theater and, for example, staged the play Die Schlündelgründler by Ken Campbell in 1985 . Wittkopp became known nationwide through roles like Schellhammer or the portrayal of Tuning Paul in the radio series Metzgerei Boggnsagg .

Wittkopp has been working regularly with the Franconian author Helmut Haberkamm since 1996 . He played the leading role in both episodes of Haberkamm's play Schellhammer (premiered in 1996). In 2000, he began working with the actor Stefan Kügel , who himself runs the Kuckucksheim Theater in Heppstädt , Franconia . Together they played in the pieces Spatzfritz (2000) and in the Haberkamm works Die Schuddgogerer and No woman, no cry - Ka Weiber, ka Gschrei (premiere 2001, with Stefan Nast-Kolb ).

Music and visual arts

In addition to acting, Wittkopp is a singer and plays a variety of musical instruments. He is active as a composer and interpreter both in theater plays and in pure music projects. In 2003 he set delightful Franconian texts by Helmut Haberkamm to music and published them on the CD Barfissi on the Herdplattn . Wittkopp regularly publishes bizarre-comical music videos on Internet platforms in which he sings and plays the guitar. Since 2013 he has been playing rock 'n' roll and blues with Franconian lyrics with the “Skinny Winni Band” .

Wittkopp has made a name for himself as a visual artist with exhibitions of his extravagant objects and pictures.
