In Winter Gold, players can choose between different sports such as downhill , bobsleigh , freestyle skiing , tobogganing , ski jumping and snowboarding . There is a single player mode and a multiplayer mode in which players can play with up to seven players in competitive mode. The game is in 3D and uses Super FX . The intro and the style of the entire game are based on the Amiga demo State of the Art of the Norwegian demo group Spaceballs, which was awarded at the 1992 demo party The Party .

Winter Gold is absolutely okay from a player point of view, but the six disciplines still lack that certain something. What is meant is the gripping moment that addictively captivates the player in front of the screen. Because although the module contains a battery to save the results, it may not be particularly motivating for a game marathon. "
