Bastion Patsas is an armored, all-wheel drive military vehicle from the French military vehicle manufacturer ACMAT , (part of Renault Trucks Defense since 2018).
The vehicle was first presented at the DSEI 2010 arms fair in the United Kingdom . The vehicle was developed for the French special forces and meets the requirements of armed forces in Europe, Africa and the Middle East . The vehicle is especially adapted to the climatic conditions in the Middle East and Africa and equipped for night use.

The Bastion APC Extreme Mobility with a 320 hp machine was launched in 2012. This version offers space for eight squad members and two vehicle crew members. The vehicle is powered by a truck diesel engine and has two 150 liter tanks. In addition to the hydraulic power steering, the vehicle's gearbox can be switched: rigid axle with gear hub and a limited slip differential. The damping system is equipped with pressurized oil dampers and the braking system is air-cooled. Disc brakes are installed as standard, an anti-lock braking system (ABS) at the front and rear is optional.
The vehicle is equipped with four Michelin 365 / 80R 20 tires XZL, which allows driving through water to a depth of 1 m.

In the standard version, the vehicle offers space for five people including full equipment. The vehicle is prepared for a 12.7 mm automatic weapon on the roof and three 40 mm grenade launchers (two at the rear, one at the front). The vehicle is protected against mines from below and ballistic bodies from the side.
The PATSAS is prepared for air transport. The vehicle can be transported by the CH-47 Chinook helicopter or the military transporters C-130 Hercules , C-160 or A400M.

Pre-orders are mainly from African countries such as the Presidential Guard of the Army of Chad (22 Bastions Patsas 4x4). The Togolese armed forces received 30 vehicles in June 2014 as part of an equipment and training program of the French Ministry of Defense . The Burkina Faso army is also using the vehicle.
