The Barracuda 4 × 4 Wheeled Armored Vehicle is a protected all-wheel-drive vehicle based on the Mercedes-Benz Unimog 5000 chassis, which has been manufactured by the South Korean company Doosan Infracore Co. Ltd. since 2004 . is built. It is used by the armed forces of South Korea, but is also found in the inventory of the armies of Indonesia and Iraq .

Like the ATF Dingo used by the German Armed Forces, the Barracuda is based on a two-axle Unimog U-5000 chassis. The body is made of steel and has only inclined front, side and rear surfaces to improve the armor properties. The armor protects against fire with weapons up to a caliber of 7.62 mm.

It is driven by an air-cooled turbo diesel engine of the type QM294 LA from Daimler AG with four cylinders and an output of 160 kW. In connection with an automatic transmission UG100-8 with eight forward and six reverse gears, it enables a top speed of 100 km / h and the ability to cope with inclines of up to 60%. The slope angle is 80%, so it is possible to drive on steps up to 60 cm in height. The fording depth is 120 cm, while the lateral angle of inclination may not exceed 30 °.

In addition to a central NBC protection system , the vehicle is equipped with a reversing camera and, if necessary, can be equipped with a clearing blade.

In addition to the driver and commander, there is space for up to ten shooters in the vehicle. Entry is via five doors. One for the driver and one for the front passenger, another door on each side and a rear door that opens down and also serves as an entry staircase. While the front doors have generously dimensioned bulletproof glass windows, the other doors are each equipped with a viewing slot. There are also three more viewing slits on each side of the vehicle. Underneath each viewing slit there is a loopholes that can be opened from the inside.

For self-protection, a 12.7 x 99 mm NATO machine gun can be mounted on the roof. This weapon can be free-standing or it can be housed in a manually operated weapon tower that is protected against fire. However, there are also photos of a police version without a MG. It is also possible to attach a sixfold smoke cannon.
