The HMV-420 is a four-wheeled (4 × 4) all-wheel drive Thai armored personnel carrier and is manufactured by Panus Assembly .
description
The crew of the HMV-420 consists of a driver and a front passenger; it can also accommodate 11 soldiers in the interior, who enter the vehicle through doors on the right and left sides. The doors are folded up and down in two parts and also serve as an entry and exit aid. The vehicle can be protected by external armor according to STANAG Level 1 to Level 4b.
Armament
The basic version of the HMV-420 is unarmed, but can accommodate different structures on the roof and has lockable loopholes on both sides of the vehicle. Panus offers, for example, the remote-controlled weapon platform Aselsan SARP, optionally with 7.62 × 51 mm NATO or 12.7 × 99 mm NATO machine gun or 40 mm grenade launcher cartridge .
