Winzerla is a hamlet that belongs to Orlamünde in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia .

geography

According to its name, the hamlet was a winery of the Orlamünd ruling family. The area also speaks of its location for this thesis. The flat sloping high plateau towards the Saale valley, lying on weather-beaten shell limestone soil with a steep slope to the north and protectively bounded by the Hopfenberg to the north and west, speaks for it. The hamlet can be easily reached via a connecting road from Orlamünde. Three properties can be visibly assigned to the hamlet. During the GDR, the areas were looked after by VEG (Z) Tierzucht Zwätze and later by VEG (Z) Eisenberg .

history

From 1083 to February 16, 1084 the place was first mentioned in a document. This coincides with those of the Orlamünder counts and their castle in Orlamünde .
