Wisley is a parish near Woking in Surrey , on the banks of the Wey , a tributary of the Thames . 185 people live in the village.
history
Wisley was already described in the Domesday Book as Wiselei , owned by Osuuold von Wotton. A church is mentioned in 1150. The Wisley runway, on which the Vickers company tested aircraft from 1944, is located in the neighboring village of Ockham . It was closed in 1972 and the control tower demolished in 1980.
