The center's mission is to develop and carry out activities and events for the preservation and dissemination of the two Sorbian languages. The focus is on the lively and authentic teaching of the Sorbian language in kindergartens and schools. Here children and young people have the opportunity to learn the language at the highest level.

The Witaj Language Center spreads Sorbian in kindergartens through the Witaj immersion program of the same name . The 2-plus project is run in the schools in Saxony and is supported by the Witaj language center. 2-Plus stands for two languages - Sorbian and German - plus foreign languages. In Brandenburg , Lower Sorbian is spread as a foreign language, as a second language and through bilingual teaching.
