Vitali Sergejewitsch Sitnikow ( Russian Виталий Сергеевич Ситников ; born October 20, 1981 in Nizhny Tagil , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Saryarka Karaganda in the Vysschaja Hockey League since 2016 .

Career

Vitaly Sitnikov began his career as a hockey player in his hometown with Sputnik Nizhny Tagil , for whose professional team he was active from 2000 to 2006 in the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division. The attacker then moved to the 2006/07 season for HK MWD Tver from the Super League , for whom he scored a goal in 15 games and gave five assists in his rookie year in the top Russian division.

From 2007 to 2009 Sitnikov played for Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg in the Vysschaya League. Then the team was included in the 2009/10 season in the Continental Hockey League founded a year earlier and the Russian was able to fight for a regular place in the KHL. In January 2011, the left shooter moved within the KHL to the promoted HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk .
