Witold Krassowski

Witold Krassowski (* 1956 ) is a Polish photographer and reporter for the weekly Przegląd Katolicki and the Network Photographers agency .

He is a contributor to Der Spiegel , The Observer , The Independent , The New Yorker , National Geographic and Gazeta Wyborcza . He is also a juror of World Press Photo and its third prize winner in 1992 and 2003. He is the winner of the Polska Fotografia Prasowa competition in 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 2000 and 2003. a. “Powidoki z Polski” ( “Afterimages of Poland / Views from Poland” ) on the system change in Poland in the years 1987–1997.

Krassowski studied French literature from 1975 and completed the linguistic seminar at the University of Warsaw . He also studied at the Institut de Linguistique Générale at the University of Paris in 1979/1980 and passed an exam in applied linguistics in 1981 at the University of Warsaw.

Krassowski had exhibitions in 1988 in Santa Clara, California, 1989 in London, 1991 in Kabul and Caracas, 1992 in Perpignan, 2000 in Warsaw, 2001 in Munich and Cologne, 2002 in Bielsko-Biała, 2006 in Lisbon and 2007 in Budapest.
