Wijtiwka ( Ukrainian Війтівка ; Russian Войтовка Woitowka ) is a village in the southeast of the Ukrainian Oblast Vinnytsia with about 4400 inhabitants (2001).
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1625, was called Tschapajewka ( Чапаєвка ) between 1946 and 1996 . It is the only village belonging to the district council of the same name in Bershad Raion in the historical region of Podolia .
The village is located on the bank of the 10 km long Wijtowotschka ( Війтовочка ), also called Murawka ( Муравка ), which flows over the Dochna ( Дохна ) to the Southern Bug .
The Rajonzentrum Bershad is located 8 kilometers south and the Oblastzentrum Vinnytsia about 150 km northwest of Wijtiwka. The regional road P-54 runs through the village .
