Vyacheslav Alexandrovich Ovchinnikov

Vyacheslav Alexandrovich Owtschinnikow ( Russian Вячеслав Александрович Овчинников ; born May 29, 1936 in Voronezh ; † February 4, 2019 ) was a Russian composer .

Life

Ovchinnikow studied at the Moscow Conservatory with Semjon Bogatyrjow and from 1962 with Tikhon Khrennikov . He lived as a freelance composer in Moscow .

In addition to five symphonies , several symphonic poems and orchestral suites, he composed a violin and a piano concerto, chamber music works, piano pieces, songs and a number of important film scores (including on Andrei Rublev and Ivan's childhood of Andrei Tarkovsky , the Bondarchuk films Boris Godunow and Krieg and Peace and to The first teacher after Tschingis Aitmatow under Andrei Michalkow-Konschalowski ).
