Vyacheslav Shcherbakov ( Russian Вячеслав Щербаков ) is a former Soviet ski jumper .

Career

Shcherbakov made his international debut at the Four Hills Tournament in 1967/68 . After he had skipped the opening competition in Oberstdorf , he reached a good 27th place on the Great Olympic Hill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . Although he could not build on this result in Innsbruck and Bischofshofen , he finished the tour in 31st place overall.

In the following Four Hills Tournament in 1968/69 he was able to improve steadily in all four jumps and achieved the best individual result of his career with sixth place on the Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze at the final competition in Bischofshofen. In the overall standings, it was only 53rd in the end.
