Vyacheslav Vladimirovich Buravchikov ( Russian Вячеслав Владимирович Буравчиков ; born May 22, 1987 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with HK CSKA Moscow in the Continental Hockey League .

Career

Vyacheslav Buravchikow began his career as a hockey player in the youth of Krylya Sowetow Moscow , for whose second team he was active from 2003 to 2005 in the third-rate Pervaya League . He also made his debut for Krylja's professional team in the Wysschaja League in the 2004/05 season . He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2005 in the sixth round as a total of 191st player by the Buffalo Sabers , for which he has not yet played. After a season at Chimik Moskowskaja Oblast in the Russian Super League , the defender moved to his league rivals Ak Bars Kazan in the summer of 2006 , with whom he won the IIHF Continental Cup in 2008 and became Russian champion in 2009 .

In December 2010 he moved to HK CSKA Moscow within the KHL . During the 2012/13 season he struggled with heart disease, so he missed a large part of the season and then took a break from professional ice hockey.

International

For Russia , Buravchikov took part in the U18 Junior World Championships in 2005 and the U20 Junior World Championships in 2006 and 2007 .
