Vladimir Astrachanzew ( Ukrainian Володимир Васильович Астраханцев, born 1960 in Kharkiv , Ukraine ) is a Ukrainian violinist .

Life

Astrakhansev was born into a family of musicians. At the age of five he received his first violin lessons in the music school for gifted children from Abram Koslowitscher . His career began while studying with Bogodar Kotorowitsch at the Peter Tchaikovsky Academy of Music in Kiev , and was continued by teaching at the Kharkov Academy of Music. He is the winner of the 6th Ukrainian Violin Competition in 1984 and the 7th international “PI Tchaikovsky” Festival in Vinnica.

His international appearances began with concerts under the conductor Robert Hanell and the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra with the violin concerto by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and led to engagements in Eastern and Western Europe, Scandinavia, the Far East and the United States. He plays in the Berlin Konzerthaus , Tonhalle Zürich , KKL Luzern with Wiktor Tretjakow as music partner, Konzerthaus Bern , Stadthaus Winterthur , Odense Koncerthus , Orgelhaus Kiew , Konzert-Kongresshalle Freiburg , Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Hall , Osaka Symphonie Hall , Muroran-Shi Bunka Center .

He went on a tour of Japan with Hans Stadlmair and the Munich Chamber Orchestra , where he was temporarily assistant concertmaster, where he was engaged as a soloist.

He had television appearances and recordings at Berliner Rundfunk , Bayerischer Rundfunk Munich , SWR Stuttgart , DRS Zurich , radio and UT Kiev , NHK Japan . CD recordings were made by Omniphon Basel , Cavalli-Records Bamberg , Hardstudios Switzerland , Montabella St. Moritz .

Since 1995 he has worked as a section leader with the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie and has also appeared as a guest in the position of 1st concertmaster of the Zurich Symphony Orchestra .
