Wladimir Dmitrijewitsch Kazantsev ( Russian Владимир Дмитриевич Казанцев , English transcription Vladimir Kazantsev ; born January 6, 1923 in Alexejewka , Saratov Governorate ; † November 22, 2007 in Moscow ) was a Soviet obstacle runner .

On July 10, 1951 in Moscow he set a world best time of 8: 49.8 minutes over a 3000 m obstacle, which he improved to 8: 48.6 minutes on June 12 of the following year in Kiev .

At the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 he won the silver medal in 8: 51.6 minutes, 6.2 seconds behind the American Horace Ashenfelter .
