Vladimir Matveevich Bachmetjew
Vladimir Matveyevich Bakhmeteff ( Russian Владимир Матвеевич Бахметьев ; born August 2 . Jul / 14. August 1885 greg. In Semljansk , Voronezh Governorate ; † 16th October 1963 in Moscow ) was a Russian writer , journalist and literary critic .
Bachmetev joined the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party in 1909 . Around 1910 he began to be active in literature. In his novels Martyns Verbrechen (1928) and The attack (1933-1940) he described events from the time of the civil war in Russia. From 1934 he was a member of the Writers' Union of the USSR . Bachmetev was honored with the Order of Lenin for his work .
