Vladimir Trichkov
Vladimir Jossifow Tritschkow , also known as Wlado Tritschkow , ( Bulgarian Владимир Йосифов Тричков ; born March 14, 1899 in Tran , † June 4, 1944 in Gorno Kamarzi ) was a Bulgarian partisan.
Life
Trichkov joined the Bulgarian Communist Party in 1919 . In 1925 he was sentenced to death after politically motivated actions, but the sentence was not carried out. After an amnesty , he emigrated to the Soviet Union in 1936 and then fought in the Spanish Civil War from 1936 to 1939 . In 1939 he returned to Bulgaria. There he was arrested twice and interned in a concentration camp. From autumn 1943 he was in command of the 1st insurgent operational zone . In 1944 he became a member of the main staff of the Bulgarian People's Liberation Army. He was killed in fighting with the police.
