Wladislaw Lukanin

Wladislaw Valerjewitsch Lukanin ( Russian Владислав Валерьевич Луканин ; born October 28, 1984 in Sochi ) is a Russian weightlifter .

Career

Lukanin reached seventh place in the class up to 62 kg at the 2001 World Championships . In 2003 he was second in the class up to 69 kg at the world championships , but he was tested positive for HCG during the doping control and banned for two years.

After his suspension, he won silver in the duel and gold in the push in the class up to 77 kg at the 2006 European Championships . At the world championships in the same year he was fourth in a duel and second in jerking. At the European Championships in 2007 and 2009 he won bronze in the 69 kg class. In 2011 he was first at the European Championships . However, he tested positive for anabolic steroids and banned for two years.

Lukanin is a senior police lieutenant and graduated in 2008 with a degree in history from the Russian University of International Friendship .
