Wladyslaw Iwanowytsch Akymenko ( Ukrainian Владислав Іванович Акименко , born March 5, 1953 in Kiev ) is a former Soviet sailor from Ukraine .
successes
Wladyslaw Akymenko took part in the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal in the Tempest boat class . Together with Valentin Mankin , he finished second with 30 points overall, behind the Swedish and ahead of the US boat and thus received the silver medal. As early as 1973 he became world champion with Mankin in Naples . Ten years later he won a bronze medal at the World Championships in Flying Dutchman in Cagliari .
