history

The two-storey, clinkered (5-11) or plastered (15/17) houses with a pitched roof and basement floor were built in the reform style from 1906 to 1909 at the turn of the century .

  • Buildings No. 5 (for the businessman Ernst Albers), 7 (for the artist and Professor Walter Magnussen ), 9 (for the architect Carl Eeg) and 11 (for the public prosecutor and senior government councilor Arno Jüdefeind) were designed by architects Carl Eeg and Eduard Runge and the construction company Rutenberg built them.
  • The houses No. 15 and 17 with a gable or gable risalitplante and built Heinrich Rutenberg for further sale.
  • House No. 13 is a non-listed three-storey building with an underground car park that was built after 1970.

The houses fit into a two- to three-story, closed residential development - mostly from the same period - in the street named after the city of Hagenau in Alsace .

From Eeg and Runge come from Schwachhausen u. a. the Biermann house in the Blumenthalstrasse residential group and the Knüppel villa , Blumenthalstrasse 17.

The houses are used for residential purposes.
