Die Wohnraumhelden are a band founded in Hanover in 2002. It consists of C-Punkt Stein-Schneider, the voice of reason alias Christof Stein-Schneider and B-Man Mayor, the volcano of romanticism alias Fabian Schulz .
Career
During a jam session in 2002 in Fabian Schulz's apartment, the idea of founding a new band arose. This was then recorded and produced by the long-time companion of the band Fury in the Slaughterhouse , where Christof was still guitarist at the time, Jens Krause .
The band first became known nationwide through Monday demonstrations against Lower Saxony's non-smoking protection law , organized by Christof Stein-Schneider and for which the protest song We are the smoke was written.
The band is also committed to global climate protection .
The band can often be seen live as a supporting act for peat rock or at open air festivals, where they are mostly out and about with their mobile stage, a converted Piaggio Ape. Particularly noteworthy during the concerts is that after almost every second song, sometimes more often, the note comes:
- “I don't know if I mentioned it before. We are the living space heroes from Hannover slash Linden. We are traveling in the name of the goddess of music. We believe in a better world, we fight for a better world ... "

In March 2011, the living space heroes, together with many other artists from Hanover, presented a charity CD in favor of Hanover 96 as a declaration of solidarity with the association and their city. The song HSV was made available exclusively for this sampler, but contrary to the misleading title it has nothing to do with the HSV club from Hamburg .
On May 8, 2011, the band gave a concert on the flight in a Dornier Do 28 D Skyservant (built in 1973) in the ten-passenger plane.
In the cellars of the Independent Youth Center Glocksee in Hanover, live recordings took place on May 25th and 26th, 2012 for the album "Real Evil", which will then be released on CD for the 10th anniversary of the band and for the tour with the "Incredible Heinz" were.
In August 2014, the living space heroes undertook a “world tour” that led to stations such as “Texas” near Hessisch Oldendorf or “Brazil” near Schönberg . This was based on their debut album "Welthits" from 2003. The tour was broadcast by NDR as part of the summer stories series.
Since December 2014, the Wohnraumhelden have occasionally appeared in 11-person formation as the Wohnraumheldenliga.
