Wojciech Cybulski

Wojciech Cybulski (born April 10, 1808 in Konin , † February 15, 1867 in Breslau ) was a Polish literary historian and linguist .

Cybulski studied philology and history in Berlin , Prague and Vienna and completed his habilitation as the first lecturer in Slavic literature and languages at Berlin University . From 1860 he was a full professor in Breslau. He wrote a critical analysis of Adam Mickiewicz's Dziady (Posen 1863). His lectures held in Berlin from 1842–45 were published after his death under the title History of Polish Poetry in the First Half of the Current Century (2 volumes, Posen 1880). They had already been published in Dresden in 1870 in Polish.
