Debustrol is a Czech thrash metal band from Mladá Boleslav that was founded in 1986. The band played with Destruction , Rammstein , Clawfinger , Iron Maiden and Municipal Waste , among others .

history

The band was founded in 1986 by singer and guitarist Kolins and drummer Martin Melmus. A little later bassist Charvos joined the line-up. In 1987 Trifid was added as a second guitarist. In November of the same year the band took part in the regional Rockfest, which attracted over 500 visitors. In the same year the first demo Nukleární pozdravy was released . After Cizák joined the band as the new bass player in 1988, the group recorded the demo Vyznání smrti , which was released that same year. In 1991 Michal Trůka joined the band as the new drummer, which was followed by an appearance at the Metal Massacre Festival in Litvínov . Then the band went to Ostrava to record recordings for the compilation Ultra Metal , where they also came into contact with producer Miloš Doležal . In November 1990, the band then recorded their debut album, which was released in 1991 on Monitor Records under the name Neuropatolog . Údolí Hádu was released as a single , for which a music video was also created. Alan Reisich then joined the band as the new drummer, before the live album Protest Live! appeared.

In 1992 the second album Svět co zatočí s tebou was released via Monitor Records . A music video was also created for the single of the same name. In 1994 the third album Chytrá past followed through Popron Music . A music video was also created for the song Něco mi schází . After completing the album, Mr. Miler joined the band as the new drummer. In 1995 the band prepared for a new album, which was released in the same year under the name Vyhlazení on Monitor Records. For the release of the album, the band appeared as the opening act for Destruction on their tour of the Czech Republic. There was also a performance with Rammstein and Clawfinger. Towards the end of 1996 the band celebrated their tenth anniversary with a performance at Club Barča in Prague . At the beginning of next year, Trifid and Cizák were joined by guitarist Martin Volák and bassist Zed. 1998 followed with Pád do hrobu mrtvol the next album on Happy Music . This was followed by various appearances at various festivals, including in Prague in the opening act for Iron Maiden. In 1999 drummer Mr. Miler left the band and was replaced by Skull II. In the same year, the next album Apokalismus was released via Happy Music . In the summer of 2001 work began on the next album, which was released in the same year under the name Steak on Sokol's Power Voice . The following year guitarist Volák left the band, so the band continued as a trio, which only changed in 2005 when Trifid returned to the band. In the same year the next album Přerushit was released on Sokol's Power Voice. A music video was also shot for the song Masoterian . In 2005 the band also played at the Basinfirefest, among others. In 2006 the DVD XX let totálního massakru appeared on Sokol's Power Voice, which documents the band's history to date. The next album followed in 2009 under the name Rwanda . A music video was also created for the song of the same title. The album was recorded in the ČSNO Blue Velvet 2 studio in Hostivař , Prague, with Standa Baroch mixing the album and Tonda Rauer mastering it. In 2010 Skull II left the band and was replaced in May by drummer Mr. Miler, who returned to the band. This was followed by appearances in the Czech Republic and Slovakia . In May 2011 the band performed at the Sonisphere Festival .

style

The band is one of the oldest Czech representatives of the thrash metal genre. The music on her early works is described as aggressive and compared to Slayer . There are also some slower, more technically demanding pieces. The debut album will be compared with the works of the aforementioned Slayer and Sepultura . In addition, elements from Death Metal are used here and there. The songs on the second album Svět co zatočí s tebou are a mixture of aggressive Thrash Metal and slower, heavier elements. On Chytrá past , more modern influences from Groove Metal became clearer. On their album Rwanda , the band addresses issues such as war, religion and the emo culture, the latter being described as an overrated phenomenon by the guitarist and singer Kolinss.
