Wojciech Ziemniak

Wojciech Stanisław Ziemniak (born March 25, 1956 in Czempiń ) is a Polish politician of the Platforma Obywatelska ( Civic Platform ).

Life

Wojciech Ziemniak studied in Gorzów Wielkopolski at a branch of the University of Sport in Poznan , where he completed his master's degree in sport ( wychowanie fizyczne ). From 1981 he worked as a sports teacher. From 1991 to 1999 he was the director of the Center for Sports and Recreation in Kościan . At the same time, Ziemniak was the director of the elementary school in the village of Racot , Greater Poland Voivodeship, from 1992 to 2001 . In 2001 he became the director of the Polish Olympic School ( Gimnazjum im. Polskich Olimpijczyków ) in Racot and in the same year he entered the Platforma Obywatelska. In the 2005 parliamentary elections , he won a seat in the Sejm for the first time in the 36 Kalisz constituency with 13,193 votes . He was active in the commissions for sport, social policy as well as territorial self-government and regional policy. In the early parliamentary elections in 2007 Wojciech Ziemniak ran again in Kalisz and was able to win a new mandate for the Sejm with 26,623 votes. Ziemniak has worked there since November 2007 in the commission for sport and since April 2008 in the commission for contact with Poles abroad. From November to December 2007 he was also a member of the National Defense Commission and from December 2007 to January 2008 of the Health Commission.

Wojciech Ziemniak is married and has two children.
