Woldemar von Brackel

Woldemar von Brackel (born March 8, 1807 in Ilmahzal , † February 23, 1877 in Dorpat ) was an Imperial Russian major general .

He was a member of the Baltic noble family Brackel . His parents were the imperial Russian district chief, magistrate and titular advisor Wilhelm Woldemar von Brackel (* 1767, † 1828) and his second wife Margaretha Elisabeth von Igelström (* 1776, † 1816).

Brackel was initially in 1860 Artillery - Obrist in Tula transported and later to major general.

He was initially married to Catharina Elisabeth Duffing (* 1829; † 1852), but then went into a second marriage in 1852 with Olga Agnes Virgine von Samson-Himmelstjerna (* 1831; † 1913). Both marriages resulted in a total of eight children.
