Wolf-Dieter Scheurell

Wolf-Dieter Scheurell (* 9 February 1944 in Waldheim , † 31 August 2017 ) was a German politician of the SPD and a member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life

Scheurell was a graduate engineer specializing in communications engineering . He worked as sales support for major customers of Deutsche Telekom . He was married and had two children. He has lived in Hamburg-Steilshoop since the 1970s .

In addition to his parliamentary work, Scheurell was a founding member of the working group for social democratic workers in the Deutsche Postverband Hamburg and a works council member at Deutsche Telekom.

Scheurell had been a member of the SPD since 1972 and from 1986 to 1991 a member of the Wandsbek district assembly . He was also chairman of the SPD in Steilshoop from 1988 to 1998.

From 1991 to 2004 he was a member of the Hamburg Parliament. There he sat during the 17th electoral term for his group, among other things, in the submissions committee, social committee and environmental committee. He was also in the Committee on Labor and Social Affairs in other terms.
