history

Wolf GmbH was founded in Mainburg in 1963 and at that time manufactured drying systems for hop processing with 80 employees . In 1970 Wolf GmbH was transferred to the Salzgitter Group and already three years later started manufacturing air conditioning units, special systems for hotels, hospitals, airports, opera houses and industrial halls. The product portfolio was expanded to include ventilation technology in 1975 and the production of heating technology began in 1981. In 1989, Wolf became a Preussag AG company due to the merger of Salzgitter and Preussag . Wolf began producing thermal baths in 1994 and solar technology was added to the range only two years later. The current condensing technology was introduced in the company in 1997. Wolf became a Centrotec Sustainable AG company in 2006 and started manufacturing heat pumps at the Mainburg site in 2010. In 2015, Wolf took over the Croatian air conditioning and ventilation equipment manufacturer Pro-Klima.
