Wolf Berlin

Wolf Berlin was Mayor of Heilbronn from 1552 to 1564 .

Life

Berlin had been a member of the external council and judge since 1547. From 1552 to 1564 he was mayor of Heilbronn. Together with Ambrosius Becht , Wolf Berlin represented Heilbronn in 1552 at the Reichstag in Augsburg . From 1559 he was also Vogt of Flein .

Two of his daughters married the later mayor families of Heilbronn: Klara Anna Berlin married Wilhelm Aff, son of Balthasar Aff (mayor from 1574 to 1575). Agnes Berlin married Conrad Spölin (mayor from 1626 to 1636).

The Berlins come from an old Heilbronn patrician family. The family's coat of arms shows three nested bears , two buffalo horns are used to decorate the crest.
